Mortise and tenon joints by hand and machine with Alan VanDeMoere and Mark Ackley
About this event
Starting with handtools you will create this classic joint. Proper marking, chisel technique, and hand sawing methods will be reviewed. Participants are encouraged to utilize their own equipment, but additional tooling shall be available. A very modest charge will apply for materials used. Alternate machining methods of creating a mortise and tenon joint shall also be explored. Prerequisite is "Sharpening Hand Plane Irons and Chisels" unless one is fully competent in sharpening.
